Preschool Screening & 4-year-old Registration

All children who will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2024 are eligible to attend the Edgar School District 4K program for the 2024-25 school year. All children who plan to attend 4K in the fall need to attend a Preschool Screening/4K Registration Day. Please call the elementary office with questions, (715) 352-2727.

3-Year-Old Screenings

If you have any concerns with your child who is under 3 years old, BIRTH TO THREE will be available to screen your child. This screening will take approximately 30 minutes and will include observations of early developmental skills and tasks and the completion of a health and development history.

Non-Resident Open Enrollment

Not a resident of the Edgar School District? Consider Open Enrollment. 

The inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. Any Wisconsin resident in 4K to grade 12 may apply to attend a nonresident school district under the open enrollment program. 

The regular open enrollment application period for the 2025-26 school year begins on February 3, 2025, and ends at 4:00 pm on April 30, 2025.
